In-Person Workshop: February, 27th, 2026, 10am-5pm @ Psychodrama NJ in Oakhurst, NJ

This experiential workshop will equip participants with embodied, psychodramatic tools to support clients living with cancer as they process complex emotions, honor visible and invisible losses, and cultivate resilience. Participants will explore practical, trauma-informed strategies to foster connection, hope, and biopsychosocial well-being, supporting clients in meeting cancer-related challenges with greater strength, flexibility, and self-compassion.
Learning Objectives
Demonstrate at least one psychodramatic technique to strengthen connection and hope in clients experiencing cancer-related changes and losses.
Identify and verbalize at least two common secondary losses experienced by individuals living with cancer.
Demonstrate one psychodramatic technique to support clients processing emotion related to secondary losses (i.e. changes with body, social relationships, identity, and future plans).
Participant Information:
This course is tailored for social workers and allied professionals who want to gain practical and effective interventions to help clients living with and recovering from cancer.
Level: Content is geared toward beginners (i.e. graduate students or professionals working towards initial licensure) up to advanced level participants (i.e. advanced licensure and expertise). Format: This all day in-person workshop offers a blend of didactic instruction and hands-on experiential learning, with a focus on building practical skills. The instructor will provided printed materials and multiple opportunities for guided practice and demonstration, as well as group discussions.
Attendance:
This is an in-person workshop held at Psychodrama NJ in Oakhurst, NJ.
Prompt arrival and full attendance are required to receive a CE/Training Certificate.
Participants are requested to arrive at least 5 minutes early to ensure a prompt start.
Instructor Information

Presented by Patricia Hannah, LCSW, SP
Patricia is a Senior Clinical Therapist at Psychodrama NJ, where she provides individual, group, and couples therapy. She is a Supervised Practitioner (SP) in Psychodrama and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) for New Jersey social workers. With a background in trauma treatment, prevention, and resilience building, Patricia brings both expertise and compassion to her work.
Patricia has a special passion for group therapy and currently leads two signature groups at Psychodrama NJ: Resilient Hearts, a supportive space for women navigating life during cancer, and Care for the Caregiver, a group designed to help those tending to loved ones find strength, connection, and balance.
As a supervisor and therapist with expertise in supporting women impacted by cancer, Patricia is committed to paying forward what she has learned. Patricia is excited to offer this workshop as an opportunity to share her expertise and guide other therapists in bringing resilience, empowerment, and healing into their own practice.
Continuing Education & Training Information

Psychodrama NJ, provider number 2273, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 6/25/25-6/25/26. Social workers completing this course receive 6 Clinical continuing education credits.
New Jersey Social Workers: The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners (NJ- BSWE) deems the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) as an acceptable and recognized source of continuing education.
Please note, this workshop will NOT provide training hours for Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy certifications.

Registration: You must register in advance to attend. You can register online or by calling the office directly at 732-686-9427. Registration is closed when the event has reached capacity or three days prior to the course start date, whichever occurs first.
Tuition: $325 Includes: CE Certificate, light refreshments, and educational materials. Save $25 when you pay by check, Venmo or Zelle.

Payments: Payment of $325 can be made by credit or debit card through the online registration process or a payment of $300 can be made by check, Venmo or Zelle. To pay by check, Venmo or Zelle complete the online registration process, then choose “Manual Payment”. Make checks out to Psychodrama NJ, and mail to Psychodrama NJ, c/o Scottie Urmey, 220 Monmouth Road, Suite 7, Oakhurst, NJ, 07755 as soon as possible.
If we do not receive payment within 10 days of registration we will have to release your space.
