Welcome, Travelers!

Whether you’re joining us for a 3‑Day Training Intensive or traveling in for a one‑day event, we’re delighted to have you with us. Participants come from across the U.S. and around the world, and we’ve gathered some helpful tips about the area to make your trip smooth, enjoyable, and stress‑free.

Training & Workshops

Transportation

  • Our office is easy to reach by car, train, or bus.

  • From Newark International Airport (EWR): Take the AirTrain to the station, purchase a ticket for the North Jersey Coast Line (Blue Line), and head toward Long Branch. The Elberon stop is closest to our office.

  • From JFK Airport (NYC): Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, transfer to the Long Island Railroad to Penn Station, then catch NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast Line (Blue Line) to Asbury Park or Elberon. Ride shares, taxis, and car services are also available.

  • By Car: Parking is available on site.

  • When planning your trip, it’s a good idea to check Google Maps (or your preferred navigation app) to compare public transportation and car service options. Depending on traffic and the time of day you arrive, travel times can be quite similar.

Accommodations

There are plenty of comfortable places to stay when visiting Psychodrama NJ. Whether you prefer a cozy bed & breakfast by the ocean, a convenient hotel, or a unique Airbnb, you’ll find great options nearby.

  • Ocean Grove: A charming shore town with historic inns and B&Bs just a short drive from the office. One option is The Inn at Ocean Grove.

  • Asbury Park & Long Branch: Both towns offer boutique hotels, oceanfront stays, and plenty of dining and entertainment right outside your door.

  • Eatontown & West Long Branch: Convenient hotel chains are available here, often with more budget‑friendly rates and easy highway access.

  • Airbnb: Many participants enjoy staying in local Airbnbs for a more home‑like experience, with options in Ocean Township, Deal, Oakhurst, Ocean Grove, Asbury Park, Long Branch, and surrounding towns.

Dining

There are plenty of nearby options for a quick bite or a sit‑down meal. Many participants like to order ahead for lunch during training days. Here are a few local favorites:

Local Attractions

If you’d like to make the most of your trip, nearby towns offer great food, shopping, and entertainment:

  • Asbury Park (5 miles south): Beaches, boardwalk, live music, arts, and nightlife

  • Long Branch (5 miles north): Beaches, boardwalk, and oceanfront dining

  • Quick Ocean Visits: Deal beach is closest for a short ocean break

Accessibility Notes

  • Elevator access is available.

  • One designated handicapped parking space and a ramp are at the front of the building.

  • Entry doors are not automatic and may be heavy—contact us if you’d like assistance upon arrival.

  • Two single‑occupancy restrooms are available; please note they are not wheelchair accessible.

Local Beach Access

The closest beach is just 1 mile from the office, off Roosevelt Avenue in Deal.

  • Memorial Day – Labor Day: A daily beach pass ($12) is required between 9am–6pm while lifeguards are on duty.

  • After 6pm: No fee is required, but lifeguards are not present—please use caution if you swim.

  • Plan ahead: Hotels and restaurants can book quickly, especially during peak seasons, so making reservations early is a good idea.

  • Connect with others: Traveling with fellow participants can be a great way to share rides, meals, and conversation.
