About the event
From Panic to Power: Transforming Anxiety Through Experience
In-Person Workshop: Friday, June 12, 2026, 9am-4pm @ Psychodrama NJ in Oakhurst, NJ

Based on the strong response to Dr. Rubin’s first presentation, From Panic Attacks to Serenity, this workshop expands on how integrating CBT principles within an experiential psychodrama approach can benefit clinicians. Participants will explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors through lived experience, while learning how to enhance exposure-based interventions by safely enacting feared scenarios in a structured, supportive clinical setting, promoting deeper insight and more integrated change.
Psychodrama and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) each offer powerful pathways for working with panic and anxiety. CBT helps clients recognize and shift the thought patterns that drive panic responses, restoring a sense of stability and control. Psychodrama deepens this work by engaging action and embodied experience, creating opportunities to explore and transform the underlying roots of anxiety.
